If you’re in the market for a brand new vehicle, and thinking of getting a Ford SUV or pickup, the Ford Island Conquest is a perfect opportunity to try them out.
Last week the Ford Island Conquest was held in one of BGC’s parking lots, from Feb. 10-12. Open to the public and with free entrance, customers were invited to experience three of Ford’s offerings, the EcoSport, the Everest, and the Ranger.
The Everest and Ranger had a specially set up short obstacle course with challenges like the Alternate Bumps, which shows off emphasizes the ground clearance of the Ranger and Everest, and also demonstrates Traction Control. After that, the next obstacle is the Rigidity Test Rumble Strips, which demonstrates ride comfort in harsh road conditions, putting emphasis on the suspension and plush seats. This leads to a short slalom course was designed to showcase the Ranger and Everest’s handling abilities in tight areas. At the end of the slalom, there’s a guy waiting with a hose to spray the windscreen to demonstrate the Automatic Rain Sensing Wipers. Another part of the course was for demonstrating driver aids like the Rear Park Assist and the Rear View Camera. One side of the parking lot was even set aside to showcase the Everest’s Active Park Assist parallel parking capabilities.
Outside the parking lot, customers were able to test drive the Ford Everest, Ranger and EcoSport around BGC to get a feel for how it rides on city streets. There was a showroom set up with vehicles on display with games and snacks for the whole family.
A test drive is really the best way to find out if a vehicle is for you, and a test drive that showcases the vehicle’s unique capabilities really lets you get to know more about that Ford you want.
