Following its van offerings launched earlier in the year, Maxus Philippines plans to expand its lineup with its new T60 pickup this coming first quarter of 2020.
The T60 features a large front grille, sculpted wheel arches, and stepboards and roof rails fitted as standard.
Maxus Philippines said the vehicles will be available in three variants: a 4×2 MT, a 4×2 AT and 4×4 AT. The initial batch of units have already arrived locally.
Maxus Philippines has yet to indicate what engine will power the T60 pickup. In other countries where the vehicle is offered, it is available with either a 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel or a more powerful 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel powerplant. The 2.8-liter produces 136 PS and 360 Nm of torque. The 2.0-liter twin-turbo cranks out 214-PS and 480-Nm of torque. These engines can be paired with either a five-speed manual, six-speed manual, or a six-speed automatic.
Inside, the T60 may boast of a number of features like a touchscreen infotainment system. It could also be equipped with a 360-degree around-view monitor system to aid in parking. Some likely features could also be a multi-function instrument cluster, an automatic climate control system, a steering wheel with remote control buttons, as well as optional leather upholstery.
More details will be revealed by Maxus in 2020.
